EDI’s Industrial Hygiene, Land Surveying and Environmental Departments are supporting the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Purple Modernization (RPM) project as a sub-consultant to STANTEC on a Design/Build team lead by Walsh/Fluor.
The project is exciting and fast-paced, with a focus on replacing decades old, and in some sections almost century old, systems and structures along the CTA’s Red, Purple and Brown lines. With an aggressive and fluid schedule for design and active construction, the EDI team continues to be eager and responsive to meet the challenges of the project.
“The fast-paced challenges of this opportunity is providing invaluable experience to our staff working on this expansive design/build project,” said Gary Flentge, EDI’s Vice President of Industrial Hygiene. “When completed, the CTA’s Red Purple Modernization will provide benefits for Chicagoans for decades to come.”
