IDOT Various Land Surveys in District One

EDI has been providing various Land Acquisition surveys throughout IDOT’s District 1 since 2012 as a prime consultant. EDI’s current contract lasts through March 2019. EDI’s scope includes research of parent tracts, title review, and boundary survey for the development of plats of highways and legal descriptions, for permanent and temporary easements, and fee acquisitions.

EDI has completed several task orders for land acquisitions to date, including: 

  • R-90-013-11 – 183rd Street & Central Avenue, Palos Heights: 5 permanent easements (Cook County Forest Preserve)
  • R-91-001-13 – IL 132 at Des Plaines River, Gurnee: 1 temporary easement (Lake County Forest Preserve)
  • R-91-019-11 – US 6 over Marley Creek, Homer Glen: 11 acquisition parcels, 4 temporary easements
  • R-91-999-90 – Excess Parcels, Waukegan: 2 excess parcels for disposal
  • R-90-029-13 – US 6 & 179th Street, Orland Park: 3 acquisition parcels
  • R-90-005-14 – Touhy Avenue at North Branch Chicago River, Skokie: 3 permanent easements (Cook County Forest Preserve)
  • R-90-013-13 – Sheridan Road, Scott Avenue to Tower Drive, Winnetka: 2 acquisition parcels, 2 temporary easements
  • R-90-019-13 – Dundee Road (Il 68) at Kennicott Lane, Arlington Heights: 1 acquisition parcel, 1 temporary easement
  • R-90-023-13 – IL 83 (Cal Sag Road) at IL 171 (Archer Avenue), Lemont: 11 acquisition parcels
