EDI celebrates 30 years of Excellence, Dedication, and Innovation

EDI is proud to be celebrating 30 years of providing professional engineering consulting services with Excellence, Dedication, and Innovation. We would like to thank our clients for continuing to trust EDI with their critical infrastructure and transformative community development projects.

Building on EDI’s history of supporting many important charitable causes which started with the late Deborah Sawyer who founded EDI in 1991, EDI is committed to community involvement and expanding educational opportunities for young women, and diverse and disadvantaged students. EDI will continue to strive to be a good partner in the Chicago community and beyond.

In honor of our 30th anniversary, EDI is making a donation to the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) which is an organization that was instrumental in Deborah’s entrepreneurial journey, and continues to be an invaluable resource for EDI’s President and CEO Leslie J. Sawyer and the firm today. EDI also donated the funds for a STEM Lab Makeover for Chicago Collegiate Charter School, which is located in the city’s far south side Pullman neighborhood.

If you would like to join us in aiding WBDC’s mission to help women business owners in all sectors, you can find more information here. In addition, Donorschoose.org is a great resource to find a school project—large or small—in your community to support!

EDI’s talented and hard-working employees—technical and administrative—are committed to respond to your project needs with a high-level of service quality. Having to get through the tumultuous year of 2020 to reach this milestone makes this anniversary even more special. Together, we are excited to see what the rest of 2021 brings for EDI and the A/E/C community!
