LEED Consulting

EDI provided LEED^® consulting services for obtaining approval from the U. S. Green Building Council of the Action Plan for Construction for LEED Certification as required by LEED for Schools. The construction projects included: Boone Elementary, South Shore High School, and Avondale/Irving Park Elementary—all Chicago Public Schools.

EDI performed the following tasks:

• Submitted project drawings electronically to document the erosion and sedimentation control measures implemented on each site during construction activities.
• Confirmed National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations were adhered to during construction activities on each project
• Provided information regarding the materials and resources credits: MRc2 -Construction Waste Management, MRc4 - Recycled Content (for materials backfilled onto site, if any), and MRc5 - Local/Regional Materials incorporated into various construction stages.
• Provided a narrative to describe the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Measures utilized on each of those projects.
