This spring, Glenn Schirmer, PE, brought more than 40 years of professional experience to EDI, as he leads the firm's team of Civil and Construction Engineers. In his position as Vice President, Civil Engineering, Glenn is responsible for strengthening relationships with project owners and clients, while guiding the firm's engineering team to meet and exceed project expectations and challenges. Well-known throughout the Chicago region's engineering community, Glenn is a past ASCE Illinois President, and a member of ACEC-Illinois.
EDI's Civil Engineering roster expanded even further this spring, with Mark Andersen, PE, joining the firm. He has more than 20 years of site design experience on some of the city's most high-profile architectural projects including Millenium Park and Trump Tower. Since joining EDI, in addition to site design work, Mark has been working on transportation-related projects for the O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP), and the Illinois Tollway.
Carl Bova, PE, joined EDI over the summer, primarily serving as Project Engineer on EDI's Illinois Tollway contract, providing Phase II and Phase III Engineering services for the rehabilitation and reconstruction on the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway and Jane Addams Memorial Tollway. Carl has more than 34 years of experience with progressive responsibilities on all aspects of transportation, water resources, and civil engineering projects. Well-versed in municipal engineering, Carl is also serving in a leadership role on EDI's contract as Village Engineer for the Village of Matteson, Illinois.
With EDI for nearly a year, Garth Daley, PE, continues to manage several of the firm's Environmental Consulting and Industrial Hygiene project teams for clients ranging from the Public Building Commission of Chicago, to Jones Lang LaSalle. Garth has more than 18 years of experience and has brought a unique background as a licensed professional engineer to the firm with his experience developing Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP) Plans.
Sindy Mondesir joined EDI in May of this year as the firm's Director of Human Resources. Sindy has more than 19 years of experience in the human resources field. Her background includes federal and state regulations pertaining to employment law, employee relations, and workplace efficiencies. Ms. Mondesir also has experience in organizational development and strategic planning.
