Cook County HighwaysSince 2000, EDI has performed over 58,000 lineal feet of mainline survey in additiion to surveying many culverts for the Department of Highways.

The surveys included section/township line establishment (including recording monument records), establishing the project horizontal datum with State Plane Coordinates using Global Positioning System (GPS), establishing the project vertical datum based on USGS, Cook County or Chicago City Datums, data collection using the Department of Highway's data collection, point coding system & CADD standards, topographic surveys, cross sections, establishing existing right of way (property monuments were surveyed along the corridor to verify the section lines and to determine the boundary of the right of way), establishing project centerline, project control monumentation & recovery ties, project alignment monumentation & recovery ties, and surveys of existing utilities. The CADD services consist of preparing base maps, cross sections, and alignment & tie diagrams using Geopak and Microstation software to the Department of Highway's CADD Standard.
