Clean Construction and Demolition Debris
Removal of most contaminated and uncontaminated soil from a construction site is now regulated. Soil certification and planning for disposal must be part of the design and scheduling process. In accordance with Public Act 96-1416, "uncontaminated soils" sent to a clean construction and demolition debris (CCDD) facility will need to be certified by the owner/operator or by a professional engineer. EDI has several professional engineers and an environmental staff that can provide these certification services for planning and construction activities. EDI has been working with clients from the start of the regulation to provide efficient and economical services for development sites throughout the Chicagoland region. EDI works with each client to determine specific needs for the soil removal process and can provide a full range of services. If planning soil removal, contact EDI for consultation or to learn more about PA 96-1416.
